The Sixth World Cartoon Conference is scheduled to be held in Zhengzhou, capital of central China's Henan Province, from Oct.1 to 3.
The world cartoon conference was launched in 1996, based on the former Asia Cartoon Summit, and has become a grand occasion for global cartoon cultural exchanges.
Activities including an academic forum, cartoon exhibition, and a concert would be held during the conference, said Hu Changguo, deputy secretary-general of the organizing committee.
Hundreds of cartoonists, cartoon associations and companies, TV stations, newspaper companies and advertising agencies from dozens of countries were expected to attend the conference, said Hu.
