Tibet Building Museum on Diversity of Natural Resources
A museum showcasing Tibet's diverse natural resources is being built in Nyingchi Prefecture, the first of its kind in this southwest China autonomous region.

Nyingchi, in the southeastern part of Tibet Autonomous Region, is known for its large areas of forest and its diverse species of animals and plants, which include some rare species like tigers, leopards and bears.

The museum covers 3,500 square meters. A 10,000-square-meter ecological square will be built in front of the museum. All the buildings will be built in harmony with the surrounding landscape.

The project, which is scheduled for completion by September this year, is expected to become a major destination for tourists from home and abroad.
