With its fantastic music and stunning choreography, Swan Lake is perhaps the most popular ballet in the world. In mid-March, the masterpiece of Tchaikovsky will be seen in an innovative production in Beijing.

The National Ballet of China has tried to stay true to the values of the original production. While holding on to the emotional scores of Tchaikovsky, the corps Germany ballet added quite a few imaginative touches to the choreography in their own version of the classic.

In their innovative production, the National Ballet of China also made several revisions to the plot so that the ballet is easy to follow for those new to the art. The troupe aims to reach a wider audience in China with the classic tale on toes.
