French Cinema Panorama to Open in Beijing

The French Ambassador to China announced, this Tuesday, the schedule for Beijing's French Cinema Panorama. Opening April the 8th, the four-day event is a major part of the cultural exchange program between the two countries.

The French organizers will show ten movies selected from 200 productions featured last year. The organizers hope Chinese actors and musicians promoting the event will help Chinese moviegoers gain a better understanding of the films.

Noted actress Jiang Wenli appeared at a press conference this week as the first promoter. Wearing a French outfit, the screen star introduced two films, Car Racer and Garden of Terror.

For the past century, French cinema has gained worldwide recognition for its artistic excellence.
