China Disabled Persons' Art Troupe Starts Taiwan Tour

The China Disabled Persons' Art Performance Troupe arrived in Taipei Thursday evening, to kick offits eight-day performance journey in Taiwan Province.

Over 100 people including some fans from as far as Malaysia, gathered at the airport to receive the handicapped artists from China's mainland and took pictures with them.

According to Liu Yongze, head of the troupe, the artists will perform "My Dream", a mixture of dance, song and instrumental performance that has been staged for over 200 times since 2000.

The tour is expected to increase friendship and understanding between handicapped people across the Taiwan Strait, Liu said.
