Get "Together" Again for TV Series

A father with nothing but the hat on his head; a boy with nothing but the skill of his fingers; a tale about what a father does for his son; the sacrifices made for love and the lessons that can only be learnt by heart. That's Chen Kaige's tearjerker Together, a film that got the box office crying out for joy. And as it that wasn't enough, director Meng Ji is now asking for more with his 24-installment TV series adaptation of the movie.

Liu Peiqi, Cheng Qian and Niu Li -- the new production's stars were all there to tell the press about Meng Ji's TV drama on Tuesday in Beijing.

The acclaimed director stressed that his new series is more than just an adaptation of the original movie.

Meng Ji said, "I can one hundred percent guarantee that this is not a diluted form of the movie. The series is more like 24 bottles of fine wine. "

With that vote of confidence, we can look forward to enjoying Together all over again.
