The National Working Committee of Chinese Young Pioneers "Hand-in-Hand" Children's Arts Troupe started  cultural performance and exchange program Tuesday in Hong Kong.

Sixty-seven young members of the troupe joined hands with children with disabilities in "Under the Same Blue Sky" Interactive Show at Margaret Trench Red Cross School of Hong Kong to build up friendship.

After the performance, children from Hong Kong and Chinese mainland played together and exchange gifts.

Wong Hiu Fan, a 14-year-old student from Margaret Trench Red Cross School, received a little crystal ball with a national treasure panda carved on it from Zhang Yining, a troupe member from Shanghai.

Zhang told Wong the meaning of the gift. "I chose this gift because I wish to share the treasure with you."

Although Wong could not expressed herself very clearly due to physical disability, she tried her best to utter "Thank you," which already sufficiently expressed her feelings.

Under the fine blue sky, children took a group photo at the playground to witness the beginning of their friendship on this special day.

The 5-day visit of the arts troupe is jointly organized by the Home Affairs Bureau and the National Working Committee of Chinese Young Pioneers.

The arts troupe is a delegation of young performers, including 76 from renowned children and youth performing groups in Shanghai and Tibet.
