Show Introduces China's Greats

China is understandably proud of its sons and daughters. And now, a new exhibition is on its way to Malaysia and Singapore to introduce six of China's most notable figures from the 20th Century.

At a press conference on Monday, the Soong Ching Ling Foundation announced the exhibition will be held in Singapore and Malaysia from this Friday. It's about the lives and achievements of six of China's greats: the stateswoman, Soong Ching Ling, Peking Opera master Mei Lanfang, and literary giants Lu Xun, Guo Muoruo, Lao She, and Mao Dun.

He Dazhang, deputy director of Soong Ching Ling Foundation Research Center, said, "Each of the six has their own section in the exhibition. The show aims to reflect the national spirit of modern China by displaying the life achievements of its six greatest men and women.

The exhibition is expected to receive an enthusiastic response from people in Singapore and Malaysia. It will be held free of charge in a bid to promote knowledge of China's recent history among Chinese descendents in the two countries.
