April 1: With "Light the Passion, Share the Dream" as its slogan, the Beijing Olympic Torch Relay begins on April 1 in Olympia, Greece and traverse 19 foreign cities. 

April 4 to 6: Qingming (Clear & Bright) Festival holiday 

April 15: The Beijing Olympic Torch begins its travel in Asia.

From April 16 to 20: "The Water Cube" (National Aquatics Center) hosts the Synchronized Swimming Olympic Qualification Tournament. 

From April 19 to 26: The newly built Wukesong Indoor Stadium hosts the Beijing 2008 Basketball Test Event for Women.

April 30: 100 days remain before the Beijing Olympic Games; theme songs for the 2008 Olympic Games and the Paralympic Games are to be announced. 

The third phase of Olympic ticket selling kicks off this month.
