Tiger Ready for Love Encounter at Park

A 6-year-old male Siberian tiger at the Jinshan Zoo of Yueyang in Hunan Province is eager to have a "mate."

The tiger, named Lingling, has growled and paced around the cage anxiously every day since spring arrived.

As anxious as he is to find a partner, the zoo is now in difficult financial straits and cannot afford to buy a tigress for Lingling. Its officials are hoping that zoos with tigresses can contact them and help Lingling find a companion.

Siberian Tigers are one of the world's top 10 most endangered animals, the Xiaoxiang Morning Post reports.
