Shanghai Names Beautiful Landscaped Streets
Adjust font size:

The majority of Shanghai's "10 most beautiful greenlands and landscaping streets" selected for 2005 are outside the Inner Ring Road, officials said yesterday.

The best parks and streets were chosen by a jury of landscaping specialists. The contest was only open to newly completed areas, so none of the selected sites are well-known scenic attractions such as the Bund or Yuyuan Garden.

To qualify, landscaped streets should have a length of at least 500 meters and the greenlands must incorporate different seasonal plants.

The 10 most beautiful greenlands are:

* The park at the intersection of Humin Road and Dongchuan Road in Minhang District

* Caihuajing Park in Songjiang District

* The park near the AC Business Center in Hongkou District
