Military, Civil Officials Plant Trees Together

Members of the Central Military Commission (CMC) and leading officials of Beijing Municipality Tuesday planted trees in the suburbs of the capital.

 

The military and civil officials are CMC Members Guo Boxiong, Cao Gangchuan, Xu Caihou, Liang Guanglie, Li Jinai, Liao Xilong, Chen Bingde and Jing Zhiyuan, and Liu Qi, member of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee Political Bureau and secretary of Beijing's CPC municipal committee.

 

It is the 24th time that CMC members have planted trees in the outskirts of the city.

 

Over the past five years, the armed forces have sent over 1 million officers and soldiers and over 30,000 vehicles to plant over 1.5 million trees and 10 million square meters of grass in Beijing.
