Rainstorm Kills Nine People in Guangdong
Nine people have died and one is missing after successive rainstorms have battered south China's Guangdong Province since July 18, according to provincial flood prevention office.

Torrential rain recently hit Wongyuan and Xinfeng counties in Guangdong. Between 8 p.m. on July 18 and 8 a.m. on July 20, 210.4 mm. of rain fell in Wongyuan and 208.2 mm. in Xinfeng. Flash flooding occurred in mountainous areas affecting 11 towns and 31, 200 people.

Of the 20 people injured during the deluge, 13 were hospitalized and those caught by flooding have been moved to safe places.
