Shandong Practices Emergency to Cope with Pollution Accident
The Shandong provincial environmental monitoring station under the guidance of the provincial environmental protection administration staged a drill in the suburbs of Jinan to cope with the emergency of an environmental pollution accident.

When a lorry that carries a tank of liquefied nitrogen imaginatively tipped over, the monitoring station, upon the order from the provincial environmental protection administration, immediately sent personnel and apparatus to the scene and, based on the study of the site, worked out emergent monitoring and disposal plans. They monitored the polluted air, water and soil and reported the results in time to the provincial administration.

For this drill, the Shandong environmental protection administration established a pollution accident emergency office and the provincial environmental monitoring station set up an emergency detachment to guide the drill.
