The China Environmental Culture Promotion Society will hold a large forum "Green China" in October this year, marking the 30th anniversary of the initiation of environmental protection in China.

The forum will feature ecological civilization with a view to disseminating green ideas in society and raising environmental awareness among the general public and promoting exchange in environmental culture between China and the rest of the world.

Attending the forum will be representatives of some of the Bo’ao Asian Forum member countries, some American and European nations’ environmental officials, international organizations and Chinese scholars and representatives from across the country, totaling 1,000.

They will discuss the importance and urgency of ecological civilization from economic, political, cultural, social and scientific perspectives.

A collection of Green China will be published and a nation-wide quiz about environmental protection will be held.
