Three-legged Panda Able to Walk Again

A giant panda named "Daili", whose left hind leg was amputated, eats bamboo at a protection station of the Fengtongzhai National Natural Reserve in southwest China's Sichuan Province Aug. 26.

When the panda was found by two local villagers, the leg had been purulent due to bites of other animals. Veterinarians then made a successful amputation on the leg. After a period of recovery, Daili is now able to walk normally with its three legs but lost its wild viability.
