Beijing Adopts New Green-Mark for Motor Vehicles

Beijing will adopt a new green-mark for motor vehicles starting from Thursday.

The design of the new environmental mark is more simple and artistic and special printing technology makes counterfeiting even more difficult.

The criterion for having new marks is the same as the original one. The green mark is an indication that the car produces low exhaust emissions.

The municipal Environmental Protection Agency says drivers can continue use their current marks within the period of its validity.
