Panda Month in Washington

Chinese giant pandas Tian Tian and Mei Xiang eat bamboo at Washington National Zoo on April 6, 2004. Anthony A. Williams, mayor of Washington, declared on Tuesday that April has been designated as the month of panda.

The two giant pandas from southwest China's Sichuan Province arrived in the United States in December 2000 and will live here for 10 years.
