Stamps Issues to Commemorate Victory in Anti-Japanese War

The State Postal Bureau of China published a set of stamps on Monday in commemoration of the 60th anniversary of the country's victory in the war against Japanese aggression between 1937 and 1945.

A complete set has four stamps with a face value of 80-fen (10 cents) each. Also in circulation is a miniature sheet with a face value of 6 yuan (75 cents).

The stamps show how the Chinese people fought the invading Japanese and how the people of the world fought fascism together.

Along with the publication of the stamps, the State Postal Bureau is staging an exhibition of stamps and envelopes used during the war of resistance against Japanese aggression.

Over 2,500 stamps from China and abroad are being displayed. Many of them had never been exposed to the public before.
