As a world No. 79 WC at Tokyo [Pan Pacific], l. 1r to Panova (using a SR of No. 33); as world No. 82 and No. 6 seed, reached Hyderabad QF, l. to No. 54 Tanasugarn (No. 3 seed); reached Hyderabad doubles SF w/Yan; at Dubai, as a world No. 75 qualifier, l. 1r 75 75 to No. 51 WC Pratt.

As world No. 77 at Doha, upset No. 15 Dokic (No. 6 seed) in straight sets in 2r, her first Top 20 opponent (prior best match-win was over No. 30 Tanasugarn at 2003 Tokyo [Japan Open]), l.
