Hungary Pledges Not to Take Part in Iraq War
Hungarian Prime Minister Peter Medgyessy said Thursday that his country will not get involved in the US-led war on Iraq, according to news reaching here from Budapest, capital of Hungary.

Hungary will not send troops to take part in military operations against Iraq, said Medgyessy in a statement.

Medgyessy regretted the failure to peacefully disarm Iraq, hoping that the war will end soon and the casualties be reduced to the minimum.

He also pledged to maintain national security and stability.
