Coalition Bombardment Continuing Non-stop in Baghdad
Coalition bombardment continued this afternoon in the Iraqi capital despite a heavy sandstorm, a Xinhua correspondent reported Wednesday.

The correspondent took a tour of the city Wednesday and saw much destruction in different parts of the city. It seemed that the US and British forces targeted not only Iraqi government and military buildings but also residential areas.

Coalition bombings and Iraqi anti-aircraft artillery firing went non-stop from dawn up to 1 p.m. local time (1000 GMT).

Baghdad TV Station and Baghdad Radio resumed broadcasting while the youth channel and radio remained silent after they came under missile attack early morning Wednesday.

The sandstorm turned the sky yellow and caused respiratory problems for many Baghdad citizens, who could not go to hospital under massive bombardment.
