Ugandan Muslim Students Condemn US-led War on Iraq
The Muslim Students Association of Uganda' s Makerere University on Sunday condemned the US-led war on Iraq, describing it as "savage."

In a statement signed by Abdul-Hakim Kalinaki, chairman of the association, the students organization said "the Muslim community of Makerere University joins the world community to condemn the savage, primitive, barbaric, uncivilized and hostile stance taken by the world's self-proclaimed beacon of peace against the people of Iraq, without the consent of the United Nations."

The US violation of UN resolutions to go and enforce them on Iraq is a dramatic reflection of the so-called civilized countries' wish to sabotage and humiliate the nation, it pointed out.

The statement also criticized the United States together with Britain for carpet bombing Baghdad.
