China Red Cross Extend Regards to Medical Workers
Delegates from the China Red Cross Society (CRCS) visited some hospitals in Beijing accommodating SARS patients on the International Nurses Day Monday.

The headquarters of the CRCS also delivered 2.35 million yuan (283,000 US dollars) worth of donations to the medical workers on the front-line of combating severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS).

CRCS President Peng Peiyun commended all nurses fighting across the nation.

Chinese medical workers are modern-day Florence Nightingales bringing the famous nurse's spirit of humanity and dedication to the fight against SARS, Peng said, noting that Chinese leaders andthe people are always concerned about their health and working conditions.
