Weekly Weather Forecast (September 17 to 23)

Northwest China: From September 17 to 20, most parts of the region will be sunny to cloudy with the temperature climbing slightly. From September 21 to 23, southeastern section of the region will see showers or thundershowers turning pretty heavy in some areas. Northern Xinjiang can expect light rain or showers.

North China: From September 17 to 18, northern parts will see light rain or showers; most parts will experience force 4 to 6 northerly wind with sandstorm in some areas of Inner Mongolia. From 20 to 21, most parts will experience declining temperature. In the second half of the coming week, most parts will be sunny to cloudy with showers or thundershowers in some southern areas.

Northeast China: From September 18 to 20, most parts will be overcast with light to moderate rain and force 4 to 6 southerly wind. On September 21, northern and eastern sections of the region will be overcast with light rain or showers. From 22 to 23, most parts will be cloudy with force 4 to 5 northerly wind and lower temperature.

Central China: On September 17, some western areas of the region will be overcast with showers. In the second half the coming week, most parts will be sunny to cloudy with sporadic showers or thundershowers in some northern areas. The mid-southern parts will have relatively high temperature.

East China: From September 17 to 18, the region's mid-southern parts and Shandong Peninsula will see light to moderate rain or thundershowers, escalating from downpour to torrential rain in some areas or accompanied by force 5 to 7 wind in the coastal areas. From September 19 to 22, most parts will be sunny to cloudy with relatively high temperature. Some northern areas will see showers or thundershowers. On September 23, some southern areas can expect showers or thundershowers.

South China: From September 17 to 19, most parts will see showers or light rain whereas the eastern parts and coastal areas will experience heavy rain. From September 20 to 23, most parts will be cloudy but the eastern parts and coastal areas can experience light to moderate rain or thundershowers, turning heavy in some areas.

Southwest China: From September 17 to 19, eastern Tibet, southern parts of Sichuan Basin and Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau will see light rain or showers, turning from moderate to heavy in some areas. From September 20 to 23, eastern Tibet and southern parts of Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau can still expect light rain or showers, turning moderate in some areas. The rest areas of the region will be sunny to cloudy.
