Customs Staffs on Pamirs Awarded

Chinese Vice Premier Wu Yi awarded honor to some model staffs serving at Khunjirap Customs on the Pamirs in northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region on Wednesday.

Wu awarded the group at a meeting held in the Great Hall of People where delegates from Chinese customs system heard the report on the work and life of the model Customs staffs.

The Khunjirap Customs Office on the Pamirs has been on service for 29 years where staffs used to reside and work in tents.

The vice premier praised the staffs by calling on all staffs of Customs services to learn from the model staffs from Xinjiang.

Wu also urged all the Customs staffs to serve the country and people by accomplishing assigned tasks and doing a better job.

Hua Jianmin, state councilor and general secretary of the State Council, read the State Council's decision on the honor for the Khunjirap Customs staffs.
