29. Approximately how long does it take to positively identify the pathogens? And what tests are used?

HPAI can only be positively diagnosed by separating and identifying its virus. This separation and subtype identification usually takes 3 - 5 days to complete. And the pathogenicity of the virus is finally confirmed by intravenous inoculation in chickens known to be free of the specific pathogen.
