Zhang Ziyi, Jiang Wen Vie for Film Awards

The ceremony for the 10th China Film Hua Biao Awards is to take place in late August in Beijing, with Zhang Ziyi and Jiang Wen among those nominated for best actress and actor, according to China Radio International Thursday.

Hua Biao Award, well known as the Chinese film industry's highest honor, includes 17 awards. A total of 16 films are nominated this year.

Zhang Ziyi has starred in blockbusters like Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon and the House of Flying Daggers, and is up for this year's Best Actress award for her role in the hit Jasmine Women.

And Jiang Wen was nominated for Best Actor for his role in the film Warriors of Heaven and Earth.

Other films nominated include Cell Phone, My Bittersweet Taiwan and 38 C.
