Internationally acclaimed Chinese actress Zhang Ziyi and Hong Kong actress and singer Kelly Chan will vie for Best Actress at this year's Changchun Film Festival awards.

Nominations for the seven main awards were announced yesterday.

There is no Best Foreign Film Award this year and all the films in the competition are Chinese.

Twenty films are up for the Best Film Award including commercial hits such as Internal Affair II and art house films like Jasmine Woman.

The film festival will take place from the 10th to the 12th of January in northern China's Changchun city.
