World War II Film Begins to Shoot

A film marking the 60th anniversary of the end of World War II is currently shooting in Beijing and Tianjin. 

 

The director of The International Military Tribunal for the Far East, Gao Qunshu, and some of the key cast members made their first public appearance in front of the media yesterday afternoon.

 

The film will depict the trial of Japan at the International Military Tribunal for the Far East after the World War II between May 1946 and November 1948.

 

The Chinese judge Mei Ju-Ao, and prosecutor Hsiang Che-Chun in the trial are played by renowned Hong Kong actors Damian Lau and Kenneth Tsang.

 

Famous Taiwan star Ken Chu and Kelly Lin act as reporters from China and Japan, who are the two main fictional characters in this film.

 

The international cast includes actors from Japan, the US and several other countries.

 

This film will reach completion in October.
