Chinese movie Perhaps Love, by Hong Kong veteran director Peter Chan, has been selected as the closing film for the upcoming Venice International Film Festival.

Set in the modern-day Beijing and Shanghai of the 1930s, story of this musical is about a young star and the two men who are in love with her.

The film with a budget of almost  US$ 10 million, stars Chinese mainland actress Zhou Xun, Taiwan idol Takeshi Kaneshiro, Hong Kong veteran Jacky Cheung and South Korean star Ji Jin-hee.

The musical includes six dance sequences, which were choreographed by Vanity Fair's choreographer Farah Khan, according to the director Chan.

The project is also co-produced by André E. Morgan, who was behind many of Bruce Lee's movies and most recently, Million Dollar Baby.
