HK Film Festival Opens in Tokyo

The "Hong Kong–Japan Year 2005 Film Festival", opened in Tokyo on Monday. 

 

As an important cultural exchange between Japan and Hong Kong, the festival has two parts, a film conference and a music conference.

 

Hong Kong popular stars, Cecilia Cheung and Leo Ku, attended the music conference, which was also attended by Korean singer, BoA; Japanese band, Chemistry; and the composer Yanagiman.

 

At the film conference, Cecilia Cheung and Leo Ku's new movie, Sassy Killer- which was directed by Hong Kong master, Wong Jing - was screened to an audience in excess of 200.

 

The Festival will run for two weeks, during which a slate of representative Hong Kong movies, such as Infernal Affairs and the Color of the Truth, will also be screened.
