Andy Lau's Mozi Strategy Starts Shooting

Hong Kong veteran Andy Lau's latest film Mozi Strategy has formally started shooting.

A press conference for the film, with Lau, Chinese mainland stars Fan Bingbing and Wang Zhiwen, and Taiwan singer-actor Nicky Ng, was held Thursday in Beijing.

The movie is based on a Japanese comic book and tells the story of a follower of the ancient Chinese philosopher, Mozi, who must fend off other acolytes who have strayed from the beliefs of this anti-war thinker.

The film has drawn production investments from China, Japan, South Korea and Hong Kong, totaling up to US$12.4 million. Director Jacob Cheung said the script for the movie took five years to write.
