A five-day photo exhibition of internationally recognized Chinese star Zhang Ziyi opens in Japan on Tuesday. 

The exhibition shows eye-catching pictures, still-frames and posters of all Zhang's films, from her maiden work My Father and Mother to the latest epic Memoirs of a Geisha.

A kimono, which Zhang wore for her leading role in her latest film Memoirs of a Geisha, is also on display, attracting many audiences and fans.

Zhang Ziyi is cast in the Chinese martial-arts Night Banquet as a queen and the film will due for release early next year.

Director Feng Xiaogang said Zhang has captured the inner world of the queen in the tragedy, with its royal conflicts and tale of revenge entangled with love.
