A ceremony titled "Zheng He's Voyages and Overseas Chinese" was held in Changle City, Fujian Province on May 16. The celebration was sponsored by the All-China Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese. It aimed to promote the spirit of Zheng He, discuss the relation between Zheng He's voyages and  Chinese at home and abroad, and to boost the cohesion of the Chinese people.

More than 700 overseas Chinese, foreign friends and scholars from more than 20 countries and regions as well as Chinese scholars participated this event.
