Zeng Urges Improving Governance Capability

Senior leader of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Zeng Qinghong urged the improvement of the CPC's governance capability during his inspection tour in east China's Jiangxi Province from Oct. 17 to 20.

Zeng, who is member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Chinese Vice-President, also attended the opening ceremony of the Fifth National Peasants' Games in Yichun City of Jiangxi Province Monday.

He said improving the Party's governance capability is closely linked with carrying out the great causes led by the Party and pushing forward the Party building project.

Zeng urged Party committees of various levels to explore new ways in improving Party building in an all-round way, with the emphasis constantly on improving the governance capability.

He called for fostering a team of high-caliber cadres, consolidating the organizational basis of the Party and fighting against corruption.
