China will publish a white paper this week detailing its efforts to protect intellectual property rights over the past decade.

The Information Office of the State Council says the white paper, to be released Thursday, describes important improvements in IPR protection over the past decade, in ten areas. These include patents, trademarks and copyright, especially for audio and visual products.

This White Paper, the second of its kind since 1994, aims to keep the international community up to date on China's progress in IPR protection.
