Chinese Police Nab Suspects of Armed Robbery
Police in south China's Shenzhen City have arrested all five suspects of an armed robbery, in which a Taiwanese man had 2.5 million yuan (US$300,000) stolen at gunpoint.

The principal suspect, identified as Chen, is a former resident of Shenzhen, Guangdong Province, but holds a Hong Kong ID card, police said.

About 900,000 yuan (US$108,200) of the cash have been retrieved.

The robbery occurred on April 3, when the victim and his driver had their car stopped on a local highway by four masked robbers.

The gunmen smashed the window, pointed their weapons at the victims and escaped with a plastic bag containing the money.

The police arrested the suspects after more than 40 days of investigation in dozens of cities and towns in Guangdong as well as Guizhou Province and Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region.
