Police Crack Train Ticket Counterfeiting Case
Police in Guangzhou, capital of south China's Guangdong province, on Monday seized more than 3,000 fake train tickets worth over one million yuan after an almost year-long investigation.

Two people were arrested and equipment used for counterfeiting train tickets was seized.

The counterfeit tickets included routes from Guangzhou to most major cities in the country.

Sources in the local police authority said the two suspects were from Hunan province. They had a previous conviction for counterfeiting train tickets two years ago. They were released from prison early last year.

The police sources alleged the pair had obtained more than 10,000 yuan this year through counterfeiting train tickets.
