Ninth NPC Committee Passes 110 Laws over Five Years
The National People's Congress and its standing committee has passed 110 laws over the past five years. This has developed a socialist law system with Chinese characteristics, with the Constitution as the core.

Vice chairmen of the NPC Law Committee Qiao Xiaoyang says the ninth NPC session passed a batch of important laws indispensable to a complete legal system and laws applicable to the socialist market economy. It also amended laws which run against WTO regulations and drafted out significant laws on supervision and civil codes.
