China Improves Reports on Meetings, Leadership Activities
The Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee held a meeting in Beijing Friday to discuss how to improve press coverage of meetings and leadership activities.

Hu Jintao, general secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, chaired the meeting.

The meeting called upon the central committee and all state institutions to take the lead in supporting the reforms and the press should report more of the people's concerns.

The meeting also discussed and passed a document, which regulates for reducing the numbers in delegations when members of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee visit foreign countries, reducing vehicle use, and simplifying farewell and welcome ceremonies.
