Beijing Pays Greater Care to Medical Workers
The municipal government of Beijing, China's capital issued a decree Saturday to show greater concern for medical staff who are working hard to fight SARS.

Medical workers who are on the frontline of the anti-SARS battle should work in shifts, to ensure they get enough rest, according to the decree.

They must be well protected from the virus and provided with enough to eat, it says.

It says that local governments and community authorities should try to help the families of medical workers deal with difficulties in their work and lives, while local media should send reporters to publicize the medical workers.
