China has appointed four official organizations to receive donations for the current campaign against SARS, according to official sources.
They are Ministry of Civil Affairs, Ministry of Health, Red Cross Society of China, and China Charity Federation.
To prevent SARS spread, charitable activities like art performances, fancy fairs and charitable sports events are not to be held, the sources said.
All the donations will be used in accordance with the will of the donors and only for the purpose of fighting SARS.
