CPC Leaders Discuss Issue of Training Talents
General Secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee Hu Jintao presided over a meeting of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee Friday to discuss ways to better train and utilize talented professionals.

The meeting concluded that the issue is a crucial one linked with the development of the undertakings of the Party and the state.

In recent years, the CPC Central Committee has worked out a series of major principles and policies on strengthening the work, according to the meeting.

China is facing good opportunities as well as serious challenges in fostering skilled professionals, and appropriate ways should be adopted to grasp the opportunities and meet the challenges so as to upgrade the Party's work to a new stage.

The meeting urged Party committees and governments of all levels to seriously study and implement major principles on the issue of talents adopted at the 16th Party Congress.
