Beijing Strives to Better Environment for Overseas Investors
Acting Beijing Mayor Wang Qishan said in Beijing Friday that his government will make great efforts to create a better environment for overseas investors in the city.

"Beijing not only wants to make new friends, but also will do its utmost to solve concrete problems for old friends who have already established businesses here," he said while meeting with Walter P.S Kwok, president of the Hong Kong-based Sun Hung Kai Properties Ltd.

He said new friends were sure to come if the problems facing old friends were solved.

Beijing has maintained a double-digit growth rate over the few past years, and it would experience faster development in coming years with the holding of the Olympic Games in the city in 2008, he said.

He added that his government would improve the city's investment environment in line with the principles of deepening reforms, opening wider to the outside and improving management.
