HK Chief Executive Meets Associations Leaders, Legislative Councilors

Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Tung Chee Hwa met on Monday members of the community from various sectors and local Legislative Councilors, gathering their views on current affairs.

Participants talked with Tung on a wide range of topics on economy revitalization, CEPA (Closer Economic Partnership Arrangement) to help Hong Kong's economic restructuring, legislation of the National Security Bill, and ways for the government to listen to public opinions.

"It is very useful for me to listen to the public opinions and I know we will benefit a great deal from their opinions as we move forward," Tung said after the meetings.

The chief executive said he will continue this kind of meetings to enhance communication of the society and improve the government work.
