HK Police Seize 5.5 kg of Suspected Heroin

The Hong Kong Police arrested a 53-year-old man for dangerous drug trafficking following the seizure of more than five kilograms of suspected heroin Thursday morning.

Acting on information, the Police laid an ambush at a building around midnight.

Shortly after 12:30 a.m., a man left a unit in the building and the Police stopped him. They found a small amount of suspected heroin on him.

Police then searched a flat and found 11 packets of suspected heroin.

The haul, totaling 5.5 kilograms, would be worth about 2.3 million HK dollars if sold in the local retail market.
