Official Calls for Pushing Forward Project of Party Building

Zeng Qinghong, a member of the Standing Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee Political Bureau, has called for pushing forward the great project of Party building by integrating the great practice of building socialism with China's own characteristics.

 

Zeng made the remark at a national conference attended by heads of organization departments of provincial-level CPC committees, held here over the past two days. The great project and the great cause are complimentary to each other, and should be mutually promoted, he noted.

 

In his speech, the senior Party official outlined the tasks for next year, and called for further stepping up the building of the Party's style in accordance with the requirements of "being for the people, practical and clean."

 

He Guoqing, head of the Organization Department of the CPC Central Committee, also spoke at the meeting. He summed up the experience of this year and laid out concrete tasks for next year.

 

Before attending this meeting, all the participants were present at a national conference on the issue of talented people, and heard speeches by CPC General Secretary Hu Jintao, Premier Wen Jiabao, and Zeng Qinghong.
