A Chinese woman was killed and a Chinese man injured in an armed robbery at their house east of Pretoria, South Africa on Friday morning.

The woman, named Zhang Yali, was killed and the man, Wang Xiande sustained injuries. Both were from Shanghai and 57 years old.

Armed robbers entered the couple's house and fired shots at the residents after they searched the house for valuables.

The injured has been sent to a local hospital for treatment.
The two assailants are still at large.
