Chinese Vice Premier Wu Yi will visit Russia and Sweden at the invitation of Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Zhukov and Swedish Deputy Prime Minister Lars Engqvist.

During her visit to Russia, Vice Premier Wu will co-chair with Zhukov the eighth meeting of the committee for the regular meeting of the prime ministers of China and Russia, accompany Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao on his visit to Russia and attend the ninth regular meeting of the two prime ministers. She will pay an official visit to Sweden after leaving Russia.

Wu is to start her tour on Sept. 20 and return to Beijing on Sept. 28.
